Got out to the Aero Club at a reasonable time today Sat 10th after work.
Brian had been out in SWJ round the mountain and was heading to Hawera for a tootle about so tagged along.
Thats a BIG Cowl and a BIG Prop
Taxing out for RWY-27
John in JPX just landed.
Gary & RVH taxing for RWY-27
Brian with his ICEMAN look going on....
Gary approaching from the Port Quarter
Nice shot of RVH & Gary who was flying un-naturally (read as slow) to stay with us.
Looking South heading Hawera it was SUPER SMOOTH
Looking EAST into Tiger Country
Panel of SWJ
A smiley Brian must be having far to much fun........
Short Finals RWY-20 Hawera
Just crossing SHY-3 and the Railroad
Coming over the Hedge
The girls soaking up some late afternoon sun.
Tell ya what SWJ is a sweet lil machine quite impressed
The Hawera Aero Clubs new Deck for lounging about and talking about planes and stuff
Gary getting ready to roll.
See through fuel tanks SWJ very handy. Bit off putting when the right one goes down and the left one goes up. Left is main feed tank to hopper tank.
Gary outa Hawera on RWY-20 SD bound
Looking back to the Club house and RWYs at Hawera
The Mountain with a bit of Cloud tracking SD
Overhead SD and no those aren't the Club swimming pools check out he Cowshed just yonder. Yes thats what they are. We don't get hardly any thing from them either.
Base for RWY-16 (or as I call it the Wellington Approach)
Mid Finals 16
Over the Hedge ....
Gary just in we thought he had landed already
New kid on the Block is Turbine Fletcher ZK-EME with a slick new paint job looks fast just sitting there.
Now the reason Gary had stayed up was he noticed he was on 999 hob hours and he wasn't coming down till it turned 1000 which didn't take long. Way to go Gary & RVH thats a lot of flying
Alan was out in SSF
The Training panel observing Alan with a Cold one as Gary shouted for his great acheivment
Time for a cold one Alan......
