Today saw the arrival of a brand spanking new STING S4 ZK-SAL for Rob W from round the back of the Mountain (Western side for those Compass challenged) here seen joining overhead.

Good to see he missed the Pylons

Mark E  from Dairy Flat (North Shore) was in Command he is a 767 training Captain for ANZ. A hoot & a jolly nice chap.

Rob here greeting him and checking out his new baby.

Nice profile shot

A view of the Flight deck not bad and quite uncluttered

The welcoming team giving her a going over

Yeah it's still there Rob .....

This is what ya do if one gets lazy when landing pull the Ripcord and float on down.

Could be a tad inconvenient as ya then got to re pack ya chute best not use it then.

The hole is where it comes flying out. Ya can just see the serious looking wire ropes that hold ya under the Chute.

Mark and Wayne sorting the lil Sucker out

Sting out Cresco in

Off to find out what she is all about

Usual test stuff like stalls all types steep turns etc FLWOP & EFATO

A couple of CFI's dicussing something really important I venture to say....

But not before Rob and Wayne get there pic taken.

Tim wandered over for a look. Might trade TGC in .....

Hey am sure it was in there

Maybe not then

Rob and Dave heading for Robs strip for a welcome lunch

Back in from round the mountain

Looking pretty darned pleased about it all

As is normal with these sorts of things a committee was soon formed to discuss all things Sting

a consensus was reached that all was good with the world in general and Stings in particular

SAL is now resident at (SD) Stratford for the foreseeable future.

The Bantam has allowed the Sting to reside in it's Hangar.
