Follow instructions on Terminal.

When getting Fuel multiply your quantity by $2.60 for amount required or you will end up doing the card thing again. Example 60 Litres = $156.00

Please sign book in box.

Also if wanting a receipt do this pretty much after hose returned to holder.

When Fueling be careful of Splash back. It's brand new and pumps pretty quick.

I have seen people not winding the hose up when finished. If you do this consistantly I will be speaking to you as I can see you 24/7 (recorded) you will be paying for any damage incured. This facility is owned by the Stratford Aero Club Sport Flyers and not by any Fuel Company.

Treat it with respect it deserves or lose it.

Remember no Landing Fee's and uncontrolled Airspace.

Thanks for choosing SD (Stratford) as your Fueling stop

Popped by the Aerodrome today Sat 27th

Now as I was driving in this Glider appeared nothing special there as we have them here.

The kicker was the lowering of the Landing gear and the propellor at the front poking outa the Nose.

On further investigation it was Brett E (our Club Patron) with his Stemme S10.

The chaps discussing big wings I suspect.

Check out that wing 25 Metres long Catilina in comparison is just over 30ish metres (104 foot) now that is big .....

Brett and his ride.

Some pic's of the Flight Deck.

Yup thats one long puppy made of carbon.

Jeez thats a small prop ya got there Pilgrim.

Don & Peter checking the Stemme out.

Coffee time

Good shot of the Landing Gear & cowl flaps.

The prop lays horizontally when retracted and is kept in by a Spring system. The Limbac engine sits under the wing and has suitable cowl flaps & heat exit. the shaft goes through bottom of fuselage and prop drive is via Belts. Could fly direct Omarama from New Plymouth.

Brett getting ready to Blast off.

Gone for main engine start

Luckily the prop has grown a tad.

Ya might as well go long and that is long..... Brett said taxing to the pumps can be exciting.

Outa Here

Now you had better have you situantional awareness down patt or it could end in tears

She is a bit wabbly Duck on the taxi as that is a narrow track landing gear

It's big no matter how ya look at it.

Gear coming up slowly

Riding the Sun

Heading for NP

Will's best Jeez whats that then.

Ruapheau showing what she is all about.

Not to be done Mt Egmont/Taranaki looking a bit under snowed.  Once that lot goes it will get real hot. The white stuff keeps us cool.

The Gliding Guys were out today doing there thing. Here Eurofox TGC on the tow.

Closly followed by a Glider

Back in for another one. The Cresco looking on.

Towing up to the Sun.

Down again with intent

Team JLZ were out for a bit with Will along for a ride.

Good to see her out has been a while.

Wayne had SNW up for bit. Sexy plane sexy Car

SSF had been out with Team Warner........ yes Alan & Anne enjoyed a pleasant flight around the Mountain. Excellent, Outstanding and Awesome. Carry on.

Alan has been doing a bit lately so no sitting about for SSF. which is good as she don't like sitting around a Hangar queen she is not.

JLZ heading for the ground as she does. SNW looking on.

Gary & ONE heading home.

JLZ and crew heading for the Hangar

Some interesting Trojan facts from Brett. That puppy sucks 600ltrs on take off and 200 in the cruise. It can out climb a Mustang and a 747 to 10000 foot and has a shit load of spark plugs.

The other news is the Catalina is not to far away from her 2 year refurbishment and will look stunning. They have done an awesome amount of work to see her flying for another 30 years plus.

First showing will be WARBIRDS over WANAKA

If you haven't been for a fly in her you must as soon as you can ity'sa hoot and great fun.

Also Brett indicated that some Heavy Metal will most likely appear at the Aerodrome Open day on 23rd Jan

DO IT ......!!!!!!!

Thats it over & out.
