When getting Fuel multiply your quantity by $2.40 for amount required or you will end up doing the card thing again. Example 60 Litres = $145.00

Also if wanting a receipt do this pretty much after hose returned to holder.

When Fueling be careful of Splash back. It's brand new and pumps pretty quick.


I have seen people not winding the hose up when finished. If you do this consistantly I will be speaking to you as I can see you 24/7 (recorded) you will be paying for any damage incured. This facility is owned by the Stratford Aero Club Sport Flyers and not by any Fuel Company.

Treat it with respect it deserves or lose it.


Remember no Landing Fee's and uncontrolled Airspace.

Due to the short time frame we were given: Accomadation is as follows.

You are able to Camp next to your Aircraft. THERE IS NO SMOKING OR COOKING at your Aircraft. This is only able to be done at the CLUBHOUSE. Any other accomadation you will need to orginise yourself which is accessed on line. It is the High season for accomadation as well so get in quick.

COMP's on Saturday 17th with a possible surprise destinantion as well.

AVGAS only is aviliable on field.

10th Feb 

Saw Don still hard at it in DBZ making sure she is all good temps & pressures are within limits and all seems to be as predicted. The cammit sounds good as well as any 6 cylinder should

SSF with new member Brendon out for his first flight with Brian 

Record 7 new members this month

SSF also had possibly her highest hours ever in a claneder month 38 hours not bad for a grass route club like ours.

Flaming hell might have to get another plane....

Brendon was suitably impressed with it all.

Now this chap is Jules from HNZ ( Helicopters NZ) they are busy in the Taranaki area for a couple months and will be based outa SD during this time flying a Twin Squirrel Chopper.

The lads were out checking everything will work at SD looks like it may.

Also just to give you a heads up there will be a CAA AV-Kiwi seminar happening at SD in May I beleive (TBA) so keep ya eyes here & CAA for more info on that.
