Friday the 3rd June was a bit overcasty most of the day with light shower around 10am.
Me spent most of the day doing running repairs to Hangar 1.
The bit that was in there needed replacing with that bit there.
Should last another 50 years or so.
Before leaving home another awesome sunrise.
Yes that is ICE on the front lawn this AM. Winter has arrived.
Mountain hid most of the day.
Cessna 172S KAL arrived overhead on a grand tour outa PP to SD then NP possibly heading to the Central Plateau then home.
Short finals for 09
Like most Owyn (Welsh) checked out the Mustang as ya do and why not.
I suspect he is suitably impressed there is the Mustang grin.
That'll be RVG
Wayne giving SNW a service in the background.
Ditto for RVH
KAL & Owyn heading NP.
A bit Green (Usually recovering from the big brown). Which we never got this year.
Good Idea to do Short take off from now on as the grass pretty Draggy for the heavy metal
Listened to local advice to lower nose get to best climb then do a power climb.
Local Mower tean were out and will vacate when aircraft about.
Strangely enough grass still quite Draggy.
N9992T (EEJ) was out for a bit.
Rob & SAL back from Tauranga after some tickling & squeezing & Electrikery magicy type stuff.
Taxing for 09.
SAL short finals.
Mmmm what would you fly Legacy Cessna or Swish looking Sting S4.
No contest really probably not the Cessna.
N9992T outa here
her 310hp sucking more fuel at full noise than the 100hp Rotax powered Sting will use in about 3 flights
SAL resting after her SD to TG flight.
The Eurofox TGC appearing overhead after towing the Taranaki Gliding Clubs new glider home mostly from TG. To bust doing hangar repairs to notice the Glider.
Wonder what the Tow fee for that was then.
Full house over at the Egmont Modellors site on 34. Intermingling with TGC as she heads round the back of the Glider Hangar to retire for the night.
Gary was busy slipping onto the no wind 27... late afternoon.
As you can see by the long shadows the lads were making the most of the fine weather.
Cliff's machine after a few outings tell by the goo on the wing.
Gary's Sticky thing looking pretty fine in the late afternoon sun.
Gary & ONE heading for home 09
Local mowing Captain doing his thing.
Locally based Partinavia out doing it's thing.
Note the Dress code has changed only around 3 odd weeks ago it was hot.
Power Station thermal just sitting above the stack.
Oh it is cold people had a windchill reading last night at my place -22C (Bloody feels like it) mind you about 2kms in a straight line from Mountain.
