Friday, December 2, 2016

2nd of December was quite pleasant with activity all around the Aerodrome.

The restoration of the Sadler Vampire is coming along with all sorts of bit's coming out for a good Tart up.

Paul with that WHAT HAVE I DONE look about him. It will be alright as long as you don't have any bits left over...

Watch out for these buggers the plenty about at thee Mo. Remember Roosting times are roughly 6 to 8am & 5 to 7pm give or take.

Gary was out for another go with the Extra....Alas back in the car it went as just wasn't doing the Biz engine wise. A retreat is always better in the RC world the option is usually a Bag...

Team O'Grady were out early and got a few flights on the Fly Baby before the Crowds turned up.

Gary in his attempt to get the Extra to do it's thing.

Fly Baby on it's way to another sortie.

Now Mikes on his Phone and so is Gary surely not thats just lazy. On further investigation they weren't talking to each other

Time for a Cup of Char after all that Flying.

Now Bob was over from Oz one of Gary B's Rellie's and as ya do ya wander down to check out the Mustang...Interesting talking to Bob he is involved with Aviation in OZ so had had access to a some interesting types he was
 telling me.

Also checking out SSF

Harry's very nice Nose Dragger 4 star Forty.

The 3 man Starting Team hard at it dealing to Doug's Machine.

Doug heading out to do some Aviation.

Pretty good turn out

Now that's Neil he is the Stratford District Council man responsible for the Aerodrome. He's holding our just signed lease for the Pumps. Now Neil and his team have put a lot of work in to get where we are today (with some more works to come) and with support of the Mayor also a Neil we are pretty stoked with the Assistance they Provide to the Aerodrome and of Course the Stratford Aero Club Sports Flyers.
SO GIVE YOURSELF'S A GOOD PAT ON THE BACK TEAM YOU DESERVE IT
and of course your assistance is appreciated.

Mean while Mark & Keith were in and here Keith is Baling to Grab a Fert Truck and head out again.

Then LTH & Mark zoomed out here blasting off on 27

Mean while back in Hangar 2 Paul was hard at it trying to wrestle the engine out. Well it worked for a bit.

After a bit of fiddling we retreated and retired to plan the next assult (after checking with local Oracle) a bit has to come of before it will come out.

So tucked in for the night come back another day.

UNB from Hawera appeared overhead

Giving the RWY a good looking over.

Mean while whilst he was doing the downwind thing I found this sweet looking line up.

The chaps had circled the Wagons and were sorting the worlds problems out again.

Then later Cessna 172 DRQ did a circuit or two....

                                  Short Finals RWY-09

Good work back tracking always pay to use all the RWY avaliable.

Back tracking

Brian's (EM President) nice Ugly Stick.

Harry waiting for DRQ to take Off.

Brian launching the Rascal for Ross

Then Alan and the Polaris trucking on out for 09.
