Follow instructions on Terminal.

When getting Fuel multiply your quantity by $2.60 for amount required or you will end up doing the card thing again. Example 60 Litres = $156.00

Please sign book in box.

Also if wanting a receipt do this pretty much after hose returned to holder.

When Fueling be careful of Splash back. It's brand new and pumps pretty quick.

I have seen people not winding the hose up when finished. If you do this consistantly I will be speaking to you as I can see you 24/7 (recorded) you will be paying for any damage incured. This facility is owned by the Stratford Aero Club Sport Flyers and not by any Fuel Company.

Treat it with respect it deserves or lose it.

Remember no Landing Fee's and uncontrolled Airspace.

Thanks for choosing SD (Stratford) as your Fueling stop

!!! From the Presidents Desk !!!

Well another year bites the dust.

Thanks to everyone for there assistance during the year. Clubs only operate with members volunteering there time and donations of all sorts things which benefit the club as a whole.

Our biggest project this year was of course the Fuel Installation. It has picked up now and we are already on our second fill. Which is not bad considering the weather. At this stage we are on target for a great Summer with the Fuel installation being at the center.

Thanks go's to and a call out to our Fuel Project Manager Alan Warner and also to Gary Marsh for there outstanding support with this project.

Other highlights have been the installation of the Weather Station and also Eftpos for the office. It means are ready for action finance wise and makes the Treasurers job easier.

Also good to see a steady flow of new members with around 6 in training.

A good range of new aircraft on the Aerodrome is also welcome with a couple very advanced recreational machines and of course we still have the bulk standard types as well. We will be having a flock of Sonerais based at Stratford with SNW, SNJ, SND and the Awesome looking SNG (with White Knight just about to take it's maiden flight) The Mustang is still attracting people to it. Around 5500 odd people have been just to look at it since it arrived (we all blown away by the amount of people that have come to see her) and around 300 plus been for trial flights. Thanks to Gary for donating the Mustang for the Aero Club to have on line. It is an awesome piece of kit.

Our open day in Jan 2016 was well received and the feed back was awesome. It was good  training for the 85th Celebrations coming on the 28th Jan 2017.

Here at Stratford Aero Club Sport Flyers we try and keep the cost of flying to the minimum we can so people have access to Aviation. The open day was proof of this as both Trainers SSF & JPX and the Mustang (TVG) were kept busy all day the cost for both types were kept to a minimum hence the reaction to try flight out. The Mustang was extremely popular with another hour past what SSF & JPX did. Quite interesting for all three was the amount of Women having a go from 10 to 70 plus years. The Mustang being the most popular.

Things this spring have been a tad slow from about October  to end of November due to the Weather but that's the weather for you. A challenge it surely was but now we are on our to drying out with Runways in pretty good shape now.

Things to look out for around the Aerodrome in 2017.

Of course there is the 85th Celebrations on the 28th Jan 2017.
Gonna be a Hoot.

The Stratford District Council our Partners on the Aerodrome will be doing some improvements coming in 2017.

Thanks to Neil Cooper and his Team and the wider council team also who have been right behind the Fuel Installation as they have the vision to see the installation will be a great asset to Stratford and the Taranaki region as a whole.

Thanks must also go to our funding Partners the TSB and also the TET. Your support is much appreciated.

Some of the improvements are some more picnic tables for the parking area outside of the club house. Also they will be sealing around the pumps on the manoeuvring side and on the Hangar side will be gravelled for the Tankers when delivering Fuel. The other news is Ravensdown/Aerowork are building a Hangar to house the Cresco in. So it's all go for 2017.

We continue to host the Community as often as we can and thanks go to all the Members that allow us to do this. This is a community Aerodrome and everyone is welcome to come down and see what we do and what's happening. We have hosted both ATC Squadrons this year No.48 District of Stratford and also No.8 City of New Plymouth for Air Experience. The Weather was a challenge this year but we got there. We have had a few schools through with visits also by some of the local Rest homes. Our latest was hosting the Mustang car club end of year celebrations.

A big thanks must go to our CFI Wayne Richmond for his unwavering support for this club. Not forgetting our instructors John ,Brian and Shaun for there time donated to advance the Aero Club and recreational Flying.
Thanks Team.

We will be gearing up for 85th Celebrations in January 2017 and the members will be amassing to help out for some tarting round the place and this has already started thanks to Don and Gary on the Club House. Lots to do so if you wish to help let me know.

2017 is Going to be a Hoot be part of it.
