Follow instructions on Terminal.

Please sign book in box.

Also if wanting a receipt do this pretty much after hose returned to holder.

When Fueling be careful of Splash back. It's brand new and pumps pretty quick.

I have seen people not winding the hose up when finished. If you do this consistantly I will be speaking to you as I can see you 24/7 (recorded) you will be paying for any damage incured. This facility is owned by the Stratford Aero Club Sport Flyers and not by any Fuel Company.

Treat it with respect it deserves or lose it.

Remember no Landing Fee's and uncontrolled Airspace.

Thanks for choosing SD (Stratford) as your Fueling stop

19th November was Sunny with that pesky wind still hanging about.

The Bantam Bomber waiting for action.

SSF getting ready for action also.

SNJ whizzing past that rather snazzy looking Landrover.

Some dam fine looking Flying Machines.

Bantam getting some sun and engine warming naturally.

Wayne getting ready to go Bantam aviation. Check out that Summer looking sky.

Mountain looking fine. As do the Flying Machines.

Wayne suited up and ready for Bantam Post D Check Flight Test.

Going for main engine start.

My that's a nice looking Mustang.

Sonerai's getting some Ray's.

Ditto for SSF

SND slowly making her way outa Hangar 1.

All the SD based Sonerai's being watched over by SSF they can be a scratchy lot.

Sonerai's waiting for something to happen.

Then this appeared overhead. Gear down and welded.

This is the recommended way to restrain your Bantam in a frisky wind. Also when they want a lie down.

Stu was out and here on finals for RWY-16 practising for the comps

Still chilling waiting for the Scramble.

TVG heading for 16

Sonerai 1 ZK-EEV from Te Kowhai taxing in (this is the original Mid wing version withe Clover Leaf tail. Think Spitfire) VW Great Planes 1835cc engine I think.

There is a Sonerai 1 being built in a super secret SD location with the lowered wing and squared of tail as per the LS versions.

Parked over there Mmmmm

Still snoozing.

Black is going to be a great colour choice this Summer NOT.

The Flight Deck.

She is a bit tight.

Mean while  Captain Kenny and Flight Commander Luke where getting ready for some Sonerai action.

Down at SNJ Don was hosting a visitor

This lil Tacker getting a look about SNJ from the inside. The guys take pride in there flying machines and love to show them off as ya do.

SND Crew about to taxi.

EEV hiding behind the Aeroworks Hangar.

SND & TVG about to do stuff.

Gary vacating the very shiney Mustang.

SND on the Taxi for 16.

The Gary never tires of  flying TVG.

SND Landing 09

SSF in normal take off angle.

Typical Summer day in SD.

They let lil EEV come and join Sonerai row.

Comp's begin.

All had to do 2 x circuits in SSF & also try in own plane as well.

This consisted of 1 x powered approach & 1 x Glide approach.

Which turned out to be interesting as 15 to 20knots down 16 all day so it paid not to loiter.

SNG & Gary heading out to try there luck on the Spot Landing.

Waiting for SSF Spot Landing Comp.

Stu was first up.

Then Andrew gave it a go as well.

Here away 16

Gary also had a go in the Mustang.

SSF really short finals. TVG looking on.

Not bad

Busy Busy.

Kenny getting ready to attack the spot.

He was leading after his Flight.

He's off.

Planes just chilling.

RSR with Alan getting ready to attack the spot.

SSF still hard at it.

Oh bit short.  Second one put Kenny in the lead. Luke watching Dad do his thing.

Bang on second time round. Luke & Rob checking it out.

RSR just hanging about.

Rob getting sorted for his go at the spot. He had only flown SSF a couple times and it has those round Gauge things (Rob's sting is fully digital) did pretty darn well.

RSR waiting for Alan to return

There he is with Don on the long walk from the Club house.

Then Don's turn in SSF.

EEV on the Taxi for 16.

I spose she is an acquired taste.

Mountain looking fine with a smattering of cloud about.

Then Alans turn. He's not used to the Prop out front.

He's outa here.

All done great day the results were.

Gary M 1st Place
Kenny G 2nd Place
Alan F 3rd Place

Everyone had a blast.

Bombing be in a few weeks.

Beer O'Clock it was thirsty work.

Plenty of activity

Still busy busy.

SNJ heading out for blat.

Planes everywhere.

Sonerai's doing what Sonerai's do.

What a sky.

SNW doing the Flying bit.

Ditto SNJ.
