Follow instructions on Terminal.

Please sign book in box.

Also if wanting a receipt do this pretty much after hose returned to holder.

When Fueling be careful of Splash back. It's brand new and pumps pretty quick.

I have seen people not winding the hose up when finished. If you do this consistantly I will be speaking to you as I can see you 24/7 (recorded) you will be paying for any damage incured. This facility is owned by the Stratford Aero Club Sport Flyers and not by any Fuel Company.

Treat it with respect it deserves or lose it.

Remember no Landing Fee's and uncontrolled Airspace.

Thanks for choosing SD (Stratford) as your Fueling stop

Thursday, November 2, 2017

Thursday 2nd November was very warm & windy.

The mountain looking a bit Moody & Sulky today.

Good to see the Russian Sonerai & the Don out again after some Tickling. SND not Don (Although who knows)

Getting in before the big Wet this weekend.

Even using RWY-34.

Now we here at the Stratford Aero Club Sport Flyers we like to keep up with the Techo stuff about these days.

In saying that we have gone Glass Cockpit sorta.

Our man Wayne has applied a GARMIN 660 into SSF.
Looking very Star Trekky ...

This is the only Glass Cockpit thing we are gonna do.

I mean look outside people that's why ya Fly.

Can't get over how clear it is, it's light years ahead of the Area 500 in Clarity.

Go get one they have dropped in price.

Currently operates of the Master at present will be changing to the Avionics Switch in Due course. You will need to be shown how to apply it to your Flying experience. DO NOT CHANGE the current settings.

Couple things ya need to know so talk with either Me or Wayne.

Also today INFRAMAX  were out today with the Fine WX and Sealed in front of the Club house looks great.

A real Shame as was looking forward to Blacksands this weekend but not to be due the WX.

BLACK SANDS 2017 Cancelled due weather
Hello everyone,
we regret to announce the Black Sands Fly in at Raglan this weekend has been cancelled. Despite hopeful forecasts a few days ago, the latest forecasts show heavy rains for Friday, Saturday and most of Sunday. As we do not wish to have people risking flying in poor conditions, and the effort involved in setting up the event for a low turnout, we have reluctantly decided to cancel the fly in. Due to facilities bookings we are unable to postpone to another date.
This is the first time in 13 years of the event that we have had to make this call.
Please let as many people as you can know of this cancellation - we may have trouble reaching the SAA mailing list as the admin is currently away. We will also publish this via social media.
Our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause, please stay tuned for details of Black Sands 2018!
Best regards,
Bruce Cooke

But then you could always make you way to SD for the RAANZ National Fly-in we are hosting on Feb 17,18,19.

Plenty of AVGAS refreshments for your Flying Machine.

Any queries you can get me Nick on 020 404 28854
